I’ve pretty much ruled out anywhere on the east coast from Boston to NYC to Philly to Washington to Miami. Cost-of-living is too high in these cities even though they all have plenty of character and culture.
As for the left coast, much as I’d love to live out there (seeing as I’m an angry liberal and would mesh well with the liberal denizens) it’s too expensive out there as well. So that eliminates L.A., San Diego, Seattle, and San Francisco. Basically, any city that’s on a coast, is gonna be too expensive for me to live in.
Denver and Phoenix I’ve heard are both affordable, but people say the job markets **** in both places.
Dallas is a possibility, but as a northern liberal I wouldn’t get along with the Bush crowd.
Atlanta? Charlotte? St. Louis? OKC?
Salt Lake City and Boise are not viable options (I’m not Mormon)
Damn, America’s a tough place to choose where to live…
